We are pleased to announce that the EU PAL-COPD clinical trial has been officially registered on the ISRCTN registry. You can access the trial record here:
This registration marks a key milestone in our effort to evaluate and adapt the ICLEAR palliative care intervention for people living with advanced Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) across Europe.
The ISRCTN registration ensures that our trial is publicly visible and that essential information about the study is easily accessible to patients, researchers, and the general public. The record includes details such as the study’s aims, design, eligibility criteria, and participating countries.
To maintain transparency throughout the study, the registration will be regularly updated as the trial progresses. This includes:
Adding ethics approvals once received in each participating country
Reporting recruitment numbers
Reflecting any changes or amendments to the trial protocol
All updates will be clearly tracked in a dated version history directly on the ISRCTN page. Additionally, any future publications based on the trial results will be linked to the registration page, making it a reliable central resource for monitoring the progress and outcomes of the study.
Stay tuned for more updates as our work continues to improve palliative care for people with advanced COPD across Europe.
