We are delighted to announce that the Vrije Universiteit Brussel team has had an abstract accepted for presentation at the upcoming ERS Congress, taking place in Amsterdam from September 27 to October 01, 2025.
The abstract entitled EU PAL-COPD: Integrating palliative care in treatment for advanced COPD across Europe will be presented by Michelle Van Der Meer on September 30, from 12:30-14:00 in the poster session “Systemic manifestations of chronic lung disease and integrated care”. This presentation will outline the aims, design, and progress of the EU PAL-COPD project, including the delivery approach for ICLEAR-EU, the collaborative care model it promotes, and the methodology for its large-scale stepped wedge cluster randomised controlled trial.
This session offers a valuable opportunity for the EU PAL-COPD team to share work completed over the past 18 months and to strengthen its network within the international respiratory community.
In addition to the abstract presentation, the EU PAL-COPD consortium will host a scientific meeting during the Congress, on Sunday September 28, to foster reflection, networking, and collaboration across disciplines. People attending the ERS Congress and interested in joining or contributing to this meeting may send a message to scientific@ersnet.org for more information.
