The EU PAL-COPD project will be represented at the upcoming Nederlands-Vlaamse Wetenschapsdagen Palliatieve Zorg (Dutch-Flemish Scientific Days for Palliative Care), taking place on 9–10 October 2025, where Marie Van de Walle (Ghent University) will present results from the project’s pilot study.
Her presentation, titled “Integratie van palliatieve zorg bij gevorderde COPD: perspectieven van patiënten, mantelzorgers, en zorgverleners,” will explore the experiences and perspectives of patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals on integrating palliative care into the management of advanced COPD.
Presented in Dutch, the abstract will highlight key insights into how palliative care can be better embedded in clinical practice to address the complex needs of people living with advanced COPD and their families.
This contribution reflects EU PAL-COPD’s ongoing commitment to improving patient-centred care and strengthening collaboration between palliative care and respiratory medicine across Europe.
