EU PAL-COPD partners will be actively contributing to the EAPC 2026 World Congress, taking place in Prague, Czech Republic, from 14 to 16 May 2026. The European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) Congress is a leading international event bringing together researchers, clinicians and practitioners to exchange knowledge and advance palliative care across disciplines. EAPC is also a valued partner in the EU PAL-COPD consortium.
Showcasing EU PAL-COPD research
Our consortium will be well represented, with several partners attending and contributing to the scientific programme. A key highlight is the thematic session:
“Integrating palliative care into respiratory care: Challenges, innovations, and European collaboration”
This project session will feature presentations from Julie Stevens, Nancy Preston and Agnes Csikos, contributing insights on improving palliative care approaches for people living with advanced respiratory conditions. In addition, EU PAL-COPD research will be featured through presentations:
Additional engagement
Julie Stevens will also present the EU PAL-COPD project at the EAPC booth, contributing to further dissemination and engagement with the palliative care community on Friday, 15:45–16:30.
Strengthening collaboration and impact
Participation in EAPC 2026 provides an important opportunity to engage with the international palliative care community, share project results and gather feedback from experts and practitioners. It also supports EU PAL-COPD’s commitment to ensuring that research findings are translated into meaningful improvements in care for people living with COPD.
Join us at EAPC 2026 and connect with our partners to explore how EU PAL-COPD is advancing palliative care in respiratory diseases.
