The International Observatory on End of Life Care is based at Lancaster University in the UK. We conduct high-quality cutting-edge research and provide innovative educational programmes to improve palliative and end of life care for patients and family carers. Our research is multi-disciplinary and we are particularly interested in research around service development in palliative care in acute and community settings. Much of our research is international through our EU funded projects but also working with our international PhD students. At any one time we have about 40 students studying for a PhD in Palliative Care.

Role within EU PAL-COPD

We are lead for WP 2 which is about the adaptation and standardisation of ICLEAR through user and stakeholder involvement. We are involved in a number of work packages including the RCT.
