The University of Pecs Medical School (Hungary) has about 3500 students of 67 nationalities, in Hungarian, German and English programmes. The faculty has 19 theoretical departments and 28 clinics with 500 educators, researchers and professionals, 74 academic doctors and 5 academics. Aside from general medicine and dentistry gradual courses, the Medical School offers Master’s degrees, biotechnology and PhD courses.
The Department of Hospice-Palliative Care in the Primary Health Care Institute was established in 2012 and was the first of its kind in Hungary. The main responsibility of the department is the implementation and further development of the hospice-palliative approach and practice at regional, national and international levels. The department takes part in the development of graduate and postgraduate education and training programs, and in the development of and participation in national and international research programs.
Co-lead in WP3, taking part in the preparation of the implementation guidance documents. Coordination of the 3 Hungarian clinical sites in the stepped-wedged clinical trial (WP5).
